As your council person, I pledge to be there for you.

I will be the council person who is known for listening, learning about issues and showing up whenever needed.

I’ve spent my career serving marginalized students by helping them get access to education and I know just how impactful large systems like education and government can be for the everyday citizen.

Towards that goal, I will:

I will dedicate my time and attention to this community and will stay in office as long as voters will have me.

Equity

I’m dedicated to supporting initiatives for equity and justice for all Louisville residents, and representing a demographic that is currently missing on the council.

I stand in solidarity with efforts to end systemic bias in our city and will always show up for people who have been marginalized by bias based on race, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, age, language, and economic status.

I’m running for office because District 8 needs a Council Person who reflects the population of our city.

Affordability

I believe that every resident deserves to feel safe and secure in their homes and neighborhoods. I will advocate for resources to be invested in improving infrastructure and public spaces to make them safer and more accessible.

Some specific ideas I will implement as your council member are:

We must reinvest in and reimagine public safety. For Louisville to be safe for everyone, we must prioritize investing our city's budget in:

I will work every day to create this vision of our district and our city.

Sustainability

I believe in environmental justice. District 8 is already a leader in environmental sustainability but I will make sure that green living remains a top priority. I will do that by fighting for:

We won't be able to do much of anything if we don't have a planet on which to do so. I want to leverage the power of local government to create sustainable living for everyone.
